Sick :(

On Friday I was feeling like crap as I was watching my siblings, since it was a half day. They are loud too so that didn't help with my headache. So I mostly watched Netflix all afternoon. Then my dad got home around 5:30 and he took Blake to karate lessons. So I had Ben, Megan, and Macy for another hour. After Dad and Blake got home we all got to eat dinner. Then we read scriptures, now its like 8 at night so I decide to take a nap, but that didn't happen because I fell asleep! In my clothes, but I was in yoga pants. I woke up a couple of times during the night. Then at 3 in the morning I decided to tell my mom that I wasn't feeling well. And yep I had a fever. :( So I took some medicine and watched some more Netflix. And fell asleep at 6. Then I woke up at 7:30 and went into my room to sleep. I officially woke up at 8 in the morning. I had breakfast, then took a two hour nap. Had lunch after I woke up, and went back to sleep for an hour or so. Then I woke up and watched some tv and took a shower. Then I took another nap. ( I know right, I think i was catching up on the sleep I had missed last weekend) dinner was ready at 6 but it was pizza and it was hot, so I ate that later. but I did have some ice cream :). Then I went upstairs with the rest of my family to go see if we could rent a movie, but it didn't happen. So at 8 we had scriptures and I ate dinner. I got in bed had more medicine and watched Netflix until 11 at night. Then I went to bed.
since I was sick the whole day I couldn't go to church. So I slept in until 8 and since I couldn't do anything I took and hour nap. Then had some breakfast after they all went to church at 10. And did some checking up on my blog. Then went upstairs to watch a few movies.  They got home at 1 and had lunch. Around 2 I started working on Personal Progress. Then at 3 I took a nap until 5:30 and my family was eating dinner already. And of course I had a fever again so I have to stay home from school. But then My family went on a walk outside since its been really nice after all the rain this past weekend. So I went upstairs to finish a movie I had started. Then went downstairs and had dinner after they all got home. Finally at like 7 we had family night and some games. At eight I was back upstairs finishing off the movie. The Sandlot. One. Of. The. Best. Movies. EVER!! :) I went to bed at 9:30.
I woke up at 7 this morning. And helped my younger siblings get ready for school. While my mom took the kids to school I practiced the violin, and had breakfast. Once my mom and Macy got home I took a shower and watched Wonder Pets. Then we went to Party City for secretive reasons. Then went home for lunch and had Del Taco for lunch :) delish! Went home and then watched Lord of the Rings! I'm proud to say that I have seen 2/3rds of the trilogy!! Thats my day so far. And I hope to be going to tumbling today! (I haven't gone to tumbling in 2 weeks.)
since I wasn't at school today, I can't go to cheer, and since I wasn't at cheer then I can't cheer at our final game before championships. :( But I'll try to still go to the game though

Last Home Game of 8th Grade

On Thursday the 24th was the Rattlers last home game. :( So after the 8th grade halftime Mrs. Fulcher took a second and took the microphone and announced all of our names and gave us each a white rose with purple tissue paper and string. That would be 10 white roses. It was really sweet. So here are some pictures of it, and yes I did take them. :)

Book of Mormon Challenge: Day 3

We woke up at 6:30 today. We got ready for the day and started reading 3rd Nephi. At chapter 9 we put on our blindfolds as if the darkness had overcome us too. So no following along, it's dark, I've only had about 10 hours of sleep. Lets just say I didn't fall asleep I just was hearing the words but not processing them. Finally we were able to take off our blindfolds. We continued reading until 3 in the afternoon were we had lunch which was delicious sandwiches! We got back to reading and at about 5 we finished the Book of Mormon!!! But their was no celebrating since we wanted to feel the spirit. So we all went to a quiet little area and did the Moroni Challenge. For about 20 minutes we were quiet and felt the spirit. Then we went back inside and had a little testimony meeting, which took quite some time. But oh well, it was worth it. When that was done, we did a little celebrating!! We all got a little certifacate to put in the back of our Book of Mormon! Adorbs. And we ran through a gigantic sign that said something like this:
Easteridge Young Women Finished the Book of Mormon!! In Three Days!!
So then afterwards we got ready to leave. and I forgot that we had packed our things up after lunch and put them outside. After running through the sign we took whatever was still in the house and got into a car. We got back to the church at like 9. I was able to go to bed at 10.
I have to say that this was a crazy weekend! It was fun but very tiring, but very much worth it!

Book of Mormon Challenge: Day 2

So we woke up at 6 to get ready for church..... yeah that's right I only got 4 hours of sleep. :\ But church didn't start until 11, so we read for awhile. 20 minutes before we left we had little paper swords and we wrote on them, something that we would give up. Just like the Anti-Lehi-Nephis did in Alma, except they buried their weapons and promised to never go to battle again. So the Young Women helped dig a hole in the backyard and we all buried our swords. Then we went to Sacrament meeting. And I'll make a confession that I almost fell asleep, but I didn't! Then we walked back to the house ( the house was like 5 minutes away). Once we got changed and had some lunch, which was sandwiches and veggies, we got back to reading. We read to dinner again, but this time we sang to Sis. Sydni ( Sydni Frost) Happy Birthday! Because it was her birthday! so for dinner we had hamburgers, chips, soda, and veggies. Yum! For dessert was this delicous graham cracker with chocolate frosting with oatmeal on top thing!! It was delish! We had about an hour break. Then we got back to reading. We had finished Alma before dinner so it was time for Helman!! We read until chapter 13 then we went outside to hear Samuel the Lamanite speak. ( Zach Dixson) So for 3 chapters we were outside. So around 8 we finished for the day!! Then we all went back inside.
The rest of the evening went like this:
1. Sardins: which is like reverse tag. Everyone tries to find the one person and then they try to squish with everyone. The last person to go on is it.
2. Talking outside with Lyric, Jodee, Whitney, Kinlee, and Addy.
3. Talking inside with them, well except for Whitney.
4. Going to sleep at midnight!
So that concludes Day 2!

Book of Mormon Challenge: Day 1

So on Saturday the 19th I woke up at 5:30 to get ready for the Challenge. And at 6 Dad and I went to the church, I got dropped off and then Sis. Heslop didn't get their until 6:30, then at 7ish we got into cars and put our blindfolds on. Around 8 we got to our secret destination, aka the Kenneys grandparents house. At 8:30 we started reading right away. We finished 1st Nephi and had lunch at 11, which was Little Ceasers. Oh and by the way we were reading outside and it was freezing and so I got a little runny nose and a cold. :( After about a 30 minute break we sat down inside to read. We read until we finished Words of Mormon and had a delicous dinner. Which consisited of mashed potato soup, another soup, rolls, and salad. Yum! Then we sat down for like 10 minutes, then Sis. Kenney gave us an invitation to go hear King Benjamin speak, thos was at around 6:40ish. So we (Young Women) all got bundled up to go outside. We sat in little shade things that acted like tents, just as the people did when King Benjamin spoke to them. Bishop Dixson was acting as King Benjamin. So at around 11 we finished Mosiah. Then we had smores if we wnated them. I slept by Addy and Lyric, and we talked until like 2 in the morning with Kinlee, Sis. Heslop, and Kayla.

Pep Assembly

On Friday the 18th our school had a pep assembly! And I performed in it! (because I'm a cheerleader)  Winter Boys Basketball Cheer, Wrestling Cheer, and Danceline all did the Fight Song together. the Fight Song goes like this:
Green and purple, Desert Ridge, home to all our Rattlers. We are strong, bold, fast, and mighty, we are bound to win. GO RATTLERS!!
Green and purple, you're our pride, on us you can depend. COIL! STRIKE! Use your might, we are with you til the end!!
Then after that we went into the wrestling room and waited for our turn to go out and introduce ourselves to the school. So while we waited my cheer squad practiced our tumbling. And Lauren did her back handspring by herself! When we went out my cheer squad we got into our dance formations, and as Mrs. Fulcher called out our names we each did a kick, jump, standing tumbling, or scorpions. After we were introduced we started our dance which was amazing! Once we were done we sat down and waited for the game of speed to start, because we were cheering during the game. After that was all done then we waited for the 8th grade pep assembly. And we repeated what we did for the 7th grade pep assembly.
Before the pep assembly started Lauren said that she forgot her purple undershirt thing so her mom dropped it off for her.

Happy New Years!!

So this year I decided to write in my blog once a week and so that I can get a blog book at Christmas! This is one of my New Years Resolutions. This year the New Years party was held at my families house. As usual we had pizza, but we also had some chips and salsa, soda, desserts, and a vegetable plate. For the activities we played ping pong, fuse ball, Just Dance 4, and watched YouTube videos.
Once the clock had struck twelve we headed outside and watched our neighbors do fireworks while we had some sparklers! :)
